Strengthening Access Through Our Health Support

In low-income households, healthcare decisions are often postponed due to cost. A basic diagnostic test, prescribed medicines, or a minor procedure can create financial pressure that families are not prepared for. For daily wage earners, taking time off for treatment also means losing income for the day. During two years of continuous grassroots engagement, Maa Umiya Jan Seva Trust has repeatedly encountered situations where treatment was delayed not because it was unnecessary — but because it was unaffordable.

The Challenge of Practical Healthcare Access

For financially vulnerable individuals:

  • Medicines are sometimes purchased in incomplete doses.

  • Follow-up visits are avoided to save consultation fees.

  • Small health issues are ignored until they become serious.

This cycle increases long-term risk and financial burden.

Healthcare support at the right time can prevent this escalation.

Our Medical & Health Support Programme

The Trust structured this programme to provide practical, need-based assistance. It focuses on:

  • Supporting prescribed medicines for economically weak patients

  • Assisting with minor treatments and necessary procedures

  • Providing limited financial help for urgent medical requirements
Each case is reviewed with care and understanding. The objective is not to create dependency but to remove immediate barriers to treatment.

As a registered nonprofit trust committed to grassroots service, Maa Umiya Jan Seva Trust ensures that contributions received for medical assistance are directed specifically toward healthcare support.

Healthcare access should not depend entirely on financial strength. Through structured and transparent support, the Trust works to make essential treatment reachable for those who need it most.
